The Vita would have to sell 100k more than the 3DS for 5 years straight before it closes the gap. Maybe it will pass the 3DS in one region, but overall it will never outsell the 3DS. 

Yeah, unless the 3DS stops selling and PlayStation becomes the "thing" again. 3DS should really get up there in numbers by the time it is all said and done, hit 100mil+ probably. Vita will be good to reach PSP levels.
