is this for real? i even understand his logic with other !always-on" devices but how the fuck can he act as if only the top places are worth to live in and everyone who lives anywhere else should blame himself?
i mean, yes i'm always online with my xbox 360 which means it's really not a big deal as long as i don't lose my fucking connection which just happens from time to time, i'm already pissed when i am in an online match of halo and lose connection but that's my own problem but i would be really pissed if i couldn't play my singleplayer games then. the rumour says you have three minutes to reconnect which would be enough for me but not sure if other people need longer to reconnect.
bzw his examples are stupid since the vacuum cleaner need energy to run and the mobile phone runs even without connection just not for those things you need a connection for. but if the nextbox needs a connection even for stuff it wouldn't need it for, it's totally different to his examples. why should i need a connection for singleplayer games? i also don't need that on my phone.
