That's kinda what I think also.

It's been a while since I played so I'm waiting a while to restart so it'll be "fresh" and me and the hubby can replay through it all again :). When "Hard mode" starts it kinda sucks though because you spend a lot of time reinforcing your home from Corruption. However it does give more specific purpose to the "adventure" side of the game than the open-ended aspect of Minecraft. I really like both games though. The music and your choice of light-rendering is pretty cool too actually... if you are an RPG fan, you will find a lot to love in Terraria.

What is corruption in the game?  I keep thinking Minecraft, and applied to this game, I would assume you would be safe by building a moat.

What I found about Minecraft is that one runs out of things to find.  Terraria got my interest assuming that you could find or do more.
