Going multiplat clearly payed off for this series, the PS3 version of UNS2 outsold UNS1, Xbox360 just adds insult to the injury (is the proverb called like this in english?)

You are forgetting that UNS was in fierce competition with the 360 exclusive Naruto entry. That one was seen as less polished as UNS and hence was scrapped in it's favor. I don't have the precise numbers, I will look it up once I post this. Yet I have a feeling if you add the two original games up they will turn out very similar to how the Multiplat UNS2 .
