Let me give you 2 examples.
(1) Final Fantasy 13 was developed for PS3 in the middle of the development they said LETS MAKE IT MULTIPLAT they still had a ton of time but it was not enought to rewrite the code etc to make the 360 version as good as the PS3 version in the end the resolution was reduced to 1024x576.
(2) Then look at all those PS3 ports that stutter more or look worse than the 360 games even tho the devs had alot of time. This mainly happened because the devs were not that experienced with the PS3 hardware.
Now think about a console that has less in common with PS3 and 360 in terms of what the CPU is supposed to handle and what the GPU is supposed to handle etc.
In WIiU the GPU is supposed to handle CPU tasks (GPU power/price ratio is much better than CPU thats why Nintendo has this "shitty" cpu) you have to rewrite and recode alot of stuff to make the games run GREAT on WiiU and just look at Mass Effect 3, Darksiders 2 etc. Launch titles "written" on beta hardware looking on par with current gen consoles where devs had 5+ years time to master the hardware. I mean Mass Effect 3 runs better on WiiU than on PS3! And dont forget that alot of WiiU ports are made by external studios etc.
Initial porting from 360 to WiiU is easier you have the games running at 1FPS but thats nothing you want. Making the games (with their CPU focused engines) run at 25+ FPS on a GPU focused system with "slow" CPU is more work than you might think and is harder than alot of people think. Just look at how shitty uber CPU based game like GTA4 ran on PC.

And usually its other people comparing current gen to WiiU not Nintendo fans but everytime a Nintendo fan or PRO Nintendo person mentions this its OF COURSE WIIU WINS ITS NEWER BLAH! Or devs had more Time BLAH. Or THE GAME WAS NOT DEMANDING TO BEGIN WITH! The simple denial that anything can be worse than a Nintendo product is the fear of inferiority Mega was talking about.
It doesnt matter if the Nintendo product is 10 years newer than the own product. ITS IMPOSSIBLE! And when everything points to the Nintendo product being superior its OF COURSE IT IS followed by KINDERGARTEN EXCUSE 1, KINDERGARTEN EXCUSE 2 ...... its newer because Nintendo did something right or because it deserved something etc. its LUCK at best.
And how does WiiUs online lack lol? Its better than any other systems online(but I am pretty sure thats also just because its newer right? or its just LUCK. It cant be because Nintendo has some smart people etc..) and what are those mystical features you talk about? Dualshock support? Xbox Live? Sure WiiU does not have it how shitty this console must be xD
To bad I cannot play in my bathroom while my WiiU is in my living room OH WAIT.... WiiU can also NOT pause the game and then browse youtube for video guides in case I am stuck in a game and then let me play the game again with a simple press of a button OH WAIT! To bad there is no extra screen so I can play with 4 friends because my shitty TV only has 4 player splitscreen OH WAIT!
You know not everybody cares about the same stuff you do thats why I dont know what features you mean because for me there is nothing missing. And I have a PS3 and 360 so do you care to go into specifics please?

Nintendo fans are happy about better graphics(often in combination with artstyle) but compared to (ALOT OF) other fans thats just a nice extra. Nintendo fans are usually like " I cant wait to see the next Mario when I think about how Mario Galaxy (on Wii hardware) was able to look so great! I cant wait any longer!!!!! It is because its suprising everytime."

They are not showing off with how powerful their systems are they only come out and say NO YOU ARE WRONG WiiU LOOKS BETTER When others LIE about how shitty Nintendo graphics are. They are usually not the agressors. This is 2 different things!
Btw what did (ALOT NOT ALL!) PS2 fans do back then? "PS2 graphics dont matter" and now "PS3 is THE BESTESTEST!" (so better dont remind others how alot (NOT ALL!!!) of Sony fans are HINT: They lose the "WORST FAN" polls everytime!)
