Do you see Mario as a character or object?

I like the way they have tried to flesh out Luigi's character in the Luigi's mansion games.

It would be very cool to see a new 3D Mario game where Mario and Luigi have a brotherly rivalry and you can choose either one,or even make a FLUDD/Poltergust coop puzzle game like Mansion for the WiiU.

 

Edit: You could also use the same reasoning for Link as well.
