Thing is, once the price drops and the games hit, the console will sell like hot cakes to the regular families that buy Nintendo consoles. Hardware systems dont have their fate written in the first 4 months.

They don't in the first two years either, who would have predicted in the first two years of the PS3 that it would make such a comeback?

The PS3 did'nt make a comeback it just benefited from the fact most publishers invested in it based on their assumation it will be the main console in the next generation and from the fact ports from 360 games made a lot of sense in order to pay the increasing development costs. Still Sony lose a lot of exclusivities during this gen in favor of MS who launched its console first.
