Midway Games has today confirmed that Unreal Tournament 3 for PlayStation 3 will hit store shelves across Europe on Friday February 22.
The imminent availability of the PS3 version across Europe follows a successful worldwide launch of the PC version and PS3 version in North America. Including the North American PS3 release the game has shipped over 1.2 million units worldwide and this figure is sure to rise thanks to European sales.
"The separated format releases have worked well, effectively giving each sku its own space," said Martin Spiess, European Managing Director of Midway Games. "Epic has delivered a game of impeccable quality and superb playability, and sales figures clearly show the timing was also spot on."

so 1.2 is a shipment figure for WW pc and NA ps3. so it's plausible that our numbers for ps3 UTIII is low but i highly doubt that it is a million seller due to the inclusion of WW pc and being a shipment figure not a sold to consumer number.
