First this is NOT and April Fools joke or anything lik that but a serious thought I had.

We all know someting went down with Nintendo and EA around the who Origin integration etc.. but can we please not beat a dead horse aout EA being butt hurt etc..

Now the reason for this thread is because I purchased NFS Most Wanted on Wii U. I noticed that in order to play online it is integrated into Origin. Now I am not sure if the servers are directly controlled by EA or NIntendo but I tell you what, it was ONE SMOOTH gaming session I had, which makes me wondder if it was a Nintendo server lol.

Now my internet specs are nothing to write home about, just ADSL2+ that sync at about 10mbit. I also played over wifi n and  found the multiplayer extremely enjoyable. The best part is if it was an EA Origin server, was I playing only against Wii U users? or PC users also?

So it got me thinking, perhaps integrating Origin wouldn't have been such a bad idea.

What I really wanted to discuss is could Nintendo and EA come up with a middle ground that would have satisfied both parties?  i.e. a MiiVerse integrated ontop of Origin specifically for Wii U, with the ability to purchase indy games that could be played on Wii U and PC. And also the abilty to have cross system play between Wii U and PC versions of the games EA develops.

Some Positives:

- Cross play between PC and Wii U

- No more gimped EA games on a Nintendo system as all features would need to be there to all cross play.

Some Negatives:

- NIntendo not 100% in control of online

- EA could disadvantage competitors online games like COD, however I am sure contracts could be put in place between EA and Nintendo to prevent it.

DISCUSS!!!
