The economy is currently much weaker than in 2005/06 during the start of the last generation, a $400-500 console will basically be dead-on-arrival. Look at the Vita & compare it to the PSP, it's doing absolutely horribly. By the time the ps4 / 720 are released, the wii u will look very affordable & have a decent line-up of software. They will snatch up the majority of families / casuals / female players / & any respectable "hardcore" player will own a wii u to play Nintendo 1st party software. The 720 / ps4 will basically fight once again for the FPS junkies / graphics whores (although most will switch to PC at a certain point). Nintendo will inevitably come out on top once again, & all the very loud Nintendo-haters on the internet will be scratching their heads wondering how they could be so wrong. i agree with u 100%. i think nintendo might do a $50 price cut in aug/sept when wind waker comes out then with black friday/holiday deals its lkely u could get a wii u for $200-250 this holiday plus it eill have a solid line up of nintendo land, nsmb, zombiu, lego city, pikmin, wind waker, w101, wii fit u, and likely 3d mario/kart vs the $400 ps4/xbox that will have mostly slightly improved ps360 games and 1-2 exclusive games
