PSP. Wtf was I thinking, I like to game on a 92" screen, not a 4.3" screen.
I used it on the plane a couple of times when I was still traveling, but staring at a screen only makes my headache worse. Locoroco was fun though. Ps3 version on the wall was better, one of those rare sixaxis games.

92"?

I had a projector before, but the drop in resolution is just too much. I now play on a 40" and I like being able to play in the daytime. I enjoy it just as much.

I'm guessing you never played your PSP outside your house? I only play handhelds outside, with the rare exception of needing the internet, or a really addictive game (like Fire Emblem).

GT5 and Wipeout HD are awesome on 92". Some games I rather play on 52", GTA4 was a mess blown up to that size.
Most games worked fine though, it's low res at first but you get used to it after a while and immersion is much better, especially for games with plenty of dark scenes. They don't work in daytime on tv anyway.
I guess it depends on how well the projector scales up the image. I found out that Alan Wake was very playable on 92" with the 360 set at 720p output and the projector doing 720p to 1080p upscaling, while it was a lot murkier with 1080p output from the 360.
Looking forward to ps4 and nextbox. Finally 1080p native, I hope.

I played the psp at home with the video cable on the tv, that looked pretty bad...
Played it on international flights as far as my headache would allow. It's just not for me.

Wipeout HD, I understand, I used to play F-Zero GX on my projector, with my feet at the base of the screen. This can make you sick, lol. However GT5? I've raced cars on the track before, and I even have a racing licence, and I think a screen that big would be terrible. I can't play a racing SIM where the windshield and steering wheel in the game are bigger then in real life. How long have you had that projector for? I only had mine for 5 years, and I dunno, some things were just too big. I care for resolution now then size, GT5 is a good example, and FPS's too.

I find Surround Sound a much more immersive feature then a projector. When you pass a car in GT5/Forza, or play a FPS and hear an enemy behind you, or better yet play a survival horror, which plays games with the speakers....that's awesome.

As for PSP, that's probably why you didn't enjoy it. It wasn't meant to be a home console, and most of the games are ports/remakes of old classics. It's really nice being able to play a classic on the go, or just in bed or something. Heck I bet some games (like Resistance) just felt down right Sofa King Re:ToddEd on the big screen, especially when PS3 versions have much better controls.
