Why are videogame forums going to be like if all next gen home consoles don't take off?

Same old same old as in fanboys of said systems downplaying lack of success. Haters saying said system is doomed or that their games or company is irrelevant or it's going to get worse. Reasonable people expecting games to sell systems and 100m to not be sold in the first year.
