He never said that. He said that their focus wasn't the UE 4 on the Wii U and that the system already has UE 3, he never mentioned the possibility of scaling down the engine (this was mentioned but almost a year ago).

Ok now I'm confused. The verb "could" here is used in a past sentence right? I mean developers "could" make (before but not now) a port of an UE 4 game, the way I see it (English is not my native language btw) it means a past sentence. Isn't the correct verb "can"? So the whole sentence should have been: "if a customer decides they want to port an Unreal Engine 4 game to Wii U, they can."
