My first death (and only failed mission) was against Pink Rathian, since all of her added attacks seemed to be aimed at the blindspots I'd normally exploit. I didn't bring antidotes since I didn't expect to be hit by her tail (damn diagonal tail swipe), and that side bite with the added explosion is killer, the range on it is freakin huge! When she was weak I got impatient and planted a trap just as she decides to leave the zone, gotta love that. I really love fighting new monsters for the first time, though. Figuring out their attack patterns and exploiting them in the same fight is too fun.
