I seem to have a very different opinion from others here. Dual Strike to me is several times better. So many things seem to be lacking in DOR. There's not much variety in Commanders and it's so hard to build up your CO power that it removes a huge tactical aspect of the last game where you had to assess the level and decide which Commander would be best for that level. Here the Commanders are all virtually the same and in any event you aren't even allowed to choose from any Commander you want when playing the mission. On Dual Strike you could do so once you completed the game but no such thing here.
All in all I have to say I am seriously let down by this game. No doubt it is a great game but for me it is a major backward step from Dual Strike. The only thing that has moved forward is online battles. I lost Dual Strike about six months ago (was a very sad sad day) and decided not to replace it but rather wait till DOR came out. Now that I have played and finished DOR I think I am going to sell it and repurchase Dual Strike. Just have to deal with the pain of unlocking every single thing all over again.
