Didn't Sony kind of screw over Capcom with Monster Hunter before this?

I'm really questioning if that 3-year exclusive deal for MH on handhelds even exists.

Then again, which came 1st? Is Soul Sacrifice Sony's answer to Monster Hunter not coming or Monster Hunter moving because Capcom got pissed off about both the PS3 MH fiasco and Sony trying to release a hunting game as competition.

If the 3-year deal doesn't exist, I'd say Capcom's just waiting for the proper amount of $$ from Sony.

No major third party is going to do Nintendo a favor out of sheer goodwill. An exclusive deal certainly exists, otherwise Monster Hunter 4 would have been multiplatform.

Soul Sacrifice is obviously Sony's answer to MH not coming. Also, no major third party is afraid of competition from Sony.

Don't think there is one at least for games in general since MH3 and MH Portable 3 were in development around the same time and I believe MH3 came out before the last PSP game. There might be one for MH3 but Capcom is probably releasing MH4 because the 3DS is the most popular system in Japan and they want to see how a brand new entry built just for that system will sell given the muted success of MH3 even on a unpopular platform for it and its updated rerelease garnering more support on the 3DS. MH4 is probably more of an experiement, they will probably release something on the Vita if its sales continue to improve in Japan but like many seem unwilling to support the Wii U due to its hardware sales, the Vita is in the same boat.

Soul Sacrifice isn't the first MH clone and probably won't be the last, the PSP had more then a few games that go popular aiming at fans of the genre/style of play and the Vita with a price cut is prime material to draw PSP owners in.
