Good pick.

Sonic Team are under-recognized for how well they pushed the Wii; Colorrs and Black Knight are two of the system's best looking games, and Secret Rings was one of the first third party Wii games to actually look good. I'd go so far as to say that Sonic Colours rivals Mario Galaxy for graphics.

Here's another ugly one: Call of Duty 3, launch title.

I absolutely agree with you. Sonic Team, along with HVS, are one of the few 3rd parties that pushed Wii's hardware to the maximum. Altough I find Sonic Colors to be better technically than S&BK, artistically S&BK is one of the nicest looking Wii games IMO, so I thought it would be nice to put it there.

And, man, that CoD 3 does look awful. Activision did improve the graphics with later CoD releases, though. MW Reflex and MW3 looked very good, specially when compared to 3 and World at War.

I thought Reflex looked about equal to World at War; it added reflective water and scopes, but the fire effects weren't as good and the framerate was choppier.

MW3 really impressed me though, in terms of how decent it managed to look while running such large, detailed environments with so many AI characters and so much happening at once. Watching the Eiffel Tower come crashing down or a missile hitting a skyscraper above me sending debris falling dozens of storeys down into the street were the kind of things I didn't expect to see running on the Wii.
