arsenalrc15 said: If you believe that the Wii U is going to ride a wave of first-party games into the first place of sales in this generation, you are miserably wrong. Please realize that those casual gamers who initially bought the Wii aren't necessarily going to be swayed by Zelda or Mario (which are not really targeted to casual gamers are they?) Overall, the Wii sold MUCH less in terms of games per console. People were buying it for Wii Sports and some dance games. |
Oh, that explains why Mario Kart Wii sold 33.55 million copies! And why New Super Mario Bros. Wii sold 26.75 million! And why Super Smash Bros. Brawl sold 11.58 million, or Super Mario Galaxy selling 10.76 million for that matter. No Dance game sold more than any of those games I mentioned (of which, none were Wii Sports or Wii Fit games). By your argument, I could confidently say that most people ONLY bought a PS3 to play Call of Duty games because no game that wasn't produced by Activision AND had Call of Duty in the title has EVER broken 10 million sold on PS3. In fact, if you look at software sales, PS3 has sold the LEAST amount of software by far of the three consoles (almost 100 million behind 360, and almost 200 million behind Wii !).
