This seemed to be the big promise for Wii U owners, don't worry about Western 3rd party devs because Japanese devs will come through.

Well where are they? Where's Metal Gear Rising on Wii U (a game designed by a Wii U friendly studio)? Now I guess it was to be expected by MGSV left off the Wii U ... yeah predictable I guess, but still frustrating.

So basically we should be content with maybe a few scraps from Ubi Soft every 3-4 months and perphas a 360/PS3 port of Call of Duty. Whoopity doo.

Word is that you arren't even likely to get future Call of Duty titles either.  Pretty much third-party isn't going to support a console that deviates too much from the mainstream, unless it sells like gangbusters and demands it.  Third party made certain demands on Sony and Microsoft and they corresponded.  Pretty much everything is meant to be versions of the PC platform so porting is a snap.  Sony gave the this, and Microsoft is likely to follow suit.  The Wii U does its own thing, so don't expect it.  Of course, if things change and the WIi U takes off, look for the PS4 and next Microsoft console's content to be dumbed down to match what the Wii U is capable of doing.
