To be perfectly honest it's better than being overly polite to stupid people. I meant it in a good way.

Unfortunately that puts him out of touch with a lot of Japanese viewers.

Why is that, do they expect a higher level of restraint and manners?


Japanese society is far too polite for its own good even today.

Acting out of norms is a great way to get shunned.
