My nephews enjoyed it. I enjoyed the first hour or so, since that's all the time I got for it.
The loading bar could be streamlined into cutscenes. It's stupid that it's running a cutscene and then directly into loading screen, vice versa.
The driving is insanely sensitive. Not sure if it's from other lego games since I don't play them. I ended up crashing into wall way too often. Took a while to get used to.
I like the humour. Some of them are probably too deep for 8 years old's.
I didn't find the "go here next arrow" intrusive. You could completely ignore it and roam around. I actually prefer it since I don't have to remember the objective while straying away from doing random stuff.
It's one of those games where you just want to have fun and relax. No cereal business.
