Well at least they show the high frame rate version of the Hobbit, plus a lot of today's 3D movies are recorded in 24 fps, but they can make CGI Movies 60 fps including already formatted ones by re-rendering the CGI Movie.
But people are making Live Action 3D movies in 60 fps again, like Avatar 2. It's to get rid of the strobe effect in action sequences. But it also makes the non-action scenes look cheesy looking.
What I personally think they should do for Live-action 3D movies is record it in 24 fps, and then double the frame rate thru editing with the original 24 fps they got. (converting original Live-Action frame-rate to double the frame rate, like converting 24 fps to 48 fps......now if only someone would do it and pay me for the idea, LOL)
