I think they hold up better over time. I can't wait to play Wind Waker HD. My point is that the style doesn't have mass market draw. Too many people are put off by cartoons, and the childlike style of link. I was put off when I was younger. And I still prefer a more realistic take. I'm hoping for a OoT look to Zelda U, but modern and stylized.
