The Gamecube was largely a miss for being undesireable, the same goes for the Wii U, hence the situation is eerily similar. You cannot see this? My post is valid as can be.

Most people don't buy systems for the hardware, but for the software. I bought a PS2 for GTA and FFX, among others.  I picked up an XBox for Halo, Fable and SWKOTOR. Gamecube's titles - as good as they may have been - were not desireable and the system was just too much like a toy.

Wii U physically looks fine at least, as just a larger, rounder version of the popular Wii casing.  We know next to nothing about Wii U's major titles. If they are desireable, the system will be desireable. Simple as that. You are welcome to your opinion, of course, but I think your judgement is pre-mature, since we haven't seen the major titles, nor have we seen major titles for other systems, or the pricing of other systems.

If PS4 is $600 and launches with Killzone which ends up being terrible and a couple other games, NextBox launches at $700 and has Fable Journey 2, and Wii U drops its price to $250 and has Mario Universe which blows peoples minds, MarioKart is the best thing ever, X makes every Final Fantasy look like garbage and Nintendo comes up with some crazy new party game that becomes a huge craze, WiiU could be extremely appealing. Especially if Watch_Dogs, FF, COD, GTA and Destiny all look and play great on the system.

If PS4 is $299 and has a spectacular launch line up, NextBox is $250 and will do your laundry for you  and Wii U gets Mario Rainy Day and Zelda: the Care Bears Crisis and no 3rd party support, then Wii U will have very low desereability and will sell awful.

Right now it's way too early to tell.
