Well, tastes are like colours. Can't say I've agreed with him in the past, but I respect his opinion. It amazes me how he does not like the Atelier series though D:

 

On a side note, I agree with you. Lost Odyssey wasn't particulary long, but it was mainly because it stopped being challenging when the Inmortals learned every single mortal skill. They become way too overpowered. That made the game far more easy and thus, way shorter.

This is indeed true, but you can't cross off a bunch of games and leave the worst game on the list (Tales of Symphonia 2) still on there.

If I were remove any from the list, it'd be Enchanted Arms, Blue Dragon, and Tales of Symphonia 2. I would have included a few other that you did not, but that's not really the point. It's not like you included Cross Edge which isn't good but still fun and campy.

 

Well, I like the JRPG genre a lot, trust me. But I'm not an expert of it. My list is probably flawed and there are tons of games that could be there. Record of Agarest War comes to my mind, for example. I did what I could ;_;

Record of Agarest War came to mind for me as well. Started playing it again recently. It has a good battle system and the story is good as well. Definitely for fans of SRPGs and VNs.
