I wonder if dedicated hardware does go extinct after this next generation. Although saying nintendo will lead the pack is just ludicrous. They have nothing, not even a coherent online strategy.
I wouldn't doubt that within a few years Sony will begin to stream to smartphone and tablets, if it doesn't cut into their dedicated hardware business.
I wouldn't relegate myself to a wiiu until 2017 though... Just buy a PS4, at least you'll get great Sony exclusives. Maybe the next xbox has some gimmicky kinect thing. Don't relegate yourself though...
