Looking for a laptop. In need of help.

I am looking to get a laptop that can allow me to play most games available on hopefully medium to high settings and run media like videos without any problems. I will mainly play indie games and minecraft, but I want some power in case I want to dip into something beefier you know?

I am not looking to build anything myself. I just want to buy it, bring it home and use it. I also do not want recommendations for Surface tablets either. I also need to to buy (2) laptops because I  also getting something for my fiancé since her laptop is garbage and over 5 years old.

 

Overall I am looking to spend no more than $800-$1000 total if possible. I am also going to my local Bestbuy (Don't say "don't go there, order from this site). I need to get them today.

Can anyone tell me what is best overall for my money? 

 

I also do not think I need an optical drive, so if that can factor in and make it easier to help then take that into account.
