Regarding God of War vs God of War 2 that a couple people keep harping on, there is one main flaw in that reasoning in saying "end of the generation". God of War 2 literally launched AFTER the end of the generation. It came out in 2007. The PS3 came out in 2006. That is in no way shape or form comparable to Ascension launching before PS4 is even out. Not to mention it directly flies in the face of things a lot of you same people have been saying for months about how 2013 is the "year of the PS3" and all these "AAA" releases Sony has coming for PS3 just proves this generation isn't over yet. So to then turn around and use "end of the generation" as a crutch here is just silly. But the bottom line is you're comparing a game that literally came out after next gen had started with PS3, to a game that came out well before the PS3 is done. Hell, we don't even have a release date or price for PS4.

Secondly the manner in which these two games are being harped on would lead one to believe there is a massive difference in sales for the game and the fact of the matter is I did a quick Google search and only found two sales sources. One is from Sony themselves and as of June 2012 it shows God of War 2 less than 400k behind God of War. The other source is this place, which has lower numbers than the Sony numbers but generally the same result, less than 400k difference.

So as of last year, that is the difference. Less than 400k. Who knows what it is now. And that could be attributed to more bundles for GoW1 or GoW2 launching literally after next gen had begun for Playstation fans. Two things Ascension needs not worry about. Doesn't it have some ugly as hell red bundle? And the PS3 is still alive and kicking.
