Just out of curiousity, how much of the actual federal budget goes helping out "poor people"? I'd bet its actually probably not all that much of the actual pie. They're an easy target obviously.
I also read something that showed in actuality the US debt has risen with every administration going back to the start of the 20th century.
The truth is there isn't any crazy rush to do anything about because who is going to allow the US to "fail"? China? LOL. The US is the text book definition of "too big to fail", the global economy could never allow the US market to fail as such I honestly don't think it's debt really means all that much. There is no global economy without the US. Period.
That's not a statement rooted as bragging, but more of a practical fact (for better or worse).
