I have the book. Bought it several years ago. Never finished it because it started staining my fingertips. The angst was bleeding out the pages, making it slippery to hold. I put it aside until I could pick up some gloves but I never got back to it. I just wasn't in a mood where I wanted to read that kind of thing. Dunno about the movie, though.
