I guess it is an all right start from God of War, but certainly not great compared to previous games. Hopefully this will convince Sony to move on from Kratos....

Nah, I don't think Kratos is the problem. It's the fact that it wasn't God of War IV. A next gen game in the series sjhould certainly perform better. Plus, we need to see how it holds.

it's basically like GoW2 since it's coming at the end of the lifecycle.  I expect it to leg it out to 3.5-4m.  It might be bundled this holiday.

Yep, end of gen too. I think the only one of Sony's games this year that will have a big opening and sustained life is The Last Of Us. 3EYOND will do a moderate 1 mill, but not much outside of that.

I think Beyond will at least match Heavy Rain.  It's going to get some attention with the starpower its bringing and if it gets any advertisement it'll be more advertised than Heavy Rain.  I'll be picking up the CE and I only got Heavy Rain when it was $30 on Ebay so that's one more sale for them already.  Most people who tried Heavy Rain really liked it so I expect good word of mouth to help with Cage's next game.  LoU is looking like it may be one of the last system sellers of the gen.  It is an untouched exclusive area for Sony and will attract zombie enthusiasts who only had xbox because of L4D before.  Also I expect great reviews and word of mouth considering it's from ND.
