We already have mobility that looks great, but you can't get the immersion unless you have some kind of impact like the 3DS XL in full 3D(big difference compared to 1st gen 3DS in visual impact actually.) I think it'd work as a hybrid, something you can take portable and render the same quality of graphics in a lower resolution on a much smaller screen and once docked, would work with the more powerful docking and generate the visual in higher res, but they'd still be newer tech that's more powerful.

The new nvidia roadmap already has an arm architecture SoC comparable to the maxwell architecture. And that's crazy just to think that in a 4 to 5 years down the road tablets and cellphones will rival in visuals the latest gaming consoles. I also think the days of dedicated consoles with gimped niche OS's are ending. Look at Wii U sales. I don't think it is all fault of the line up and I doubt ps4 and nextbox will do any better with the likes od CoD and Assassins creed goodness on board.

The world is changing tech wise and we are in the middle of the storm.
