The Wii U hasn't been out long enough for this article and it's premise to exist. Wii U went for ten weeks without any significant software, and couple that with the fact that Jan-March is traditionally a very slow period of the year for games sales, and you have the situation with the Wii U, such as it is. The PS3 went through a similar rut after the holiday sales of '06 died down... GameCube went through a rut as well. Software droughts cause this. It was expected. Nintendo told us there would be a two-month drought in January. I don't understand why people are so surprised. Journalists must not have anything else to write about so they make up doom-and-gloom pieces for new hardware.
