AllfatherStarr said: To the OP : I really used to enjoy Its always Sunny in Philadelphia , but for some reason they kept makin Charlie dumber and weirder to the point of turning him border-line retarded. Its clear he is the central character of the cast, and Cgharlie Day the best actor of the lot so i guess it irked me how the writers were just Homer-ising him. Stopeed watching at season 5, i think |
Yea he's a strange character. In season 1, especially early on, he seems like a normal person(compared to others on the show). The longer the show has gone on the dumber he's gotten. Some episodes he's 'witty', usually when another character has the story focused on them. Over time I've really come to appreciate Charlie's humor even if it is over the top a lot of times.
You should check out the episode called 'Charlie: king of the rats'. I think that's what it's called, he's really funny in that one. It's in season 5 if u haven't watched it already.

I believe that is his main problem is that he huffs too much glue and eats an excessive quantity of cat food.. I like the episode where he is all down and out (are humans lives worth more than rats? he asks). Then Frank says it is his bday (which it is really Franks) and they try to do stuff to cheer him up. Bringing spaghetti to the movie theaters = classic, Chicken with Jeans?
Friend said that Charlie and waitress are married in real life along with Dee and Mac (Ronald MacDonald)
