Not everyone does that kind of videos. Some very popular youtubers do edit their videos and only show the funniest parts. It's a good idea for a stream or something but when you think about it, popular youtube videos (in terms of video game obviously) do have some sort of edition in them.

And if you want to stream, there are better solutions like Twitch because everyone can watch it, if you do it only on the PS4 that means that for people to watch it they need a PS4 and need to be connected (unless you can it on your PC like normal).

I'm not sure exactly what you mean here.  We know you can share to Facebook and that you can stream to Ustream.  Who knows what other services it will have access to, either at launch or eventually.  My point is, you can record easily, post it, download it to PC, edit it, then re-upload it to anywhere you like.  I don't see any negatives in that.

You can record the footage directly on your PC, edit the video there and upload it. Why would you record the footage (that can be really long, some youtubers say that a single recording session are like 2 hours of footage) to upload it (which again can be very long), then download it, edit it and upload it again? It doesn't make any sense.

For a stream this feature is a great idea, for a single youtube video that is 10 minutes long that requires editing, I don't see how this can be used effectively. Mind you this is because there's no way to edit your video as of right now, but if Sony announce a way to it (even if it as bad a MS Movie Maker), then I can see this feature having more sense.
