You can record the footage directly on your PC, edit the video there and upload it. Why would you record the footage (that can be really long, some youtubers say that a single recording session are like 2 hours of footage) to upload it (which again can be very long), then download it, edit it and upload it again? It doesn't make any sense.
For a stream this feature is a great idea, for a single youtube video that is 10 minutes long that requires editing, I don't see how this can be used effectively. Mind you this is because there's no way to edit your video as of right now, but if Sony announce a way to it (even if it as bad a MS Movie Maker), then I can see this feature having more sense.
