I'd like to think that everyone knows that the cheapest, weakest console generally wins. I actually didn't realise how much weaker systems like the PS1 and 2 were in comparisson to the others. 50% ram? The video makes some good points. Generally gamers don't care about specs, just games and price. The PS4 has some qualities that could make it easier to develop for, namely no Cell and lots of RAM. Developers hate trying to fit things into low RAM. Streaming games could be awesome, if the internet can keep up.
