Micro transactions have a lot of negative implications for gaming, but I will touch on just one of them. They are the bane of competitive play. Success in any endeavor should be earned through skill and hard work. Not only does it diminish the accomplishment of gamers when success can be purchased. Those who opt to purchase success gain a unfair advantage over honest gamers. Basically it amounts to a form of corruption. The people who do it right have to suffer, because someone is able to bribe the referee. Being the best at a game shouldn't be about who has the most money in real life.
