I´m 36, my brother is 47. We always attend Nintendo 3Ds meetings in our city and most of the people participating on it are on the range of 20-30 years old. Teens and kids are always about 25-30 % on those meetings.
So, yes, there´s a HUGE misconception about Nintendo consumers, specially from a big number or websites and magazines editors that think they know something about this huge videogame market. Many Nintendo consumers are, actually, older people who grew up playing on Nintendo consoles, and older casual players.
And there is always that old talk that Nintendo don´t make games for mature audiences... what is just bullshit. The real mature gamer is the one who has open minds to experience any kind of gameplay, to experiment new games with different approaches and creative works, and NOT those teenagers who scream for games with adult content just to inflate their mediocre egos.
