By better games Rol means that sell well. The business objectives of every game company should be finding out what sells and then making it.

The reasons why games don't sell are very much NOT random. Thinking that they are is a huge source of industry incompetence.

As for this thread: doctrine of first sale is very important and the right of the consumer to circumvent any measures preventing them using an owned product fully should be absolute. This would require a DMCA repeal and new laws elsewhere. I'd love a court ruling on how long online play is guaranteed/implied by a purchase, for example EA shutting down servers after 2 years is clearly not the assumed longevity from advertising.
