But the important to me and many others is the demand. It was hard to find 360's in the wild, at least here in the US for many months after It's launch. eBay prices were not a pretty sight. It will also be the last time I ever consider pre-ordering a system in store with those nasty lines. I'll be pre-ordering on Amazon next round.

And everyone wants the Deluxe model Wii U.

It is hard to find a Deluxe Wii U anywhere.

There are plenty of Basic Models, but everyone only wants the Deluxe Wii U which is too hard to find anywhere.

You just want to spin the numbers. Lets ignore everything else and just focus on initial sales of the initial sales LOL! Spin if I ever saw it "Guys lets not talk about data we have... INSTEAD LETS ONLY TALK ABOUT THE LAUNCH!"

It would be nice if they could actually see there is a problem, come July if it still sells around 30K per-week they will be pointing out initial sales like they still mean something. It was good numbers, now it's time to let them go and deal with whats happening right now. I am pretty sure Nintendo isn't telling their stock holders "Yeah the sales are bad now but look at the first five weeks. As you can see demand is higher than both PS3 and XBOX 360. We will be fine."
