I don't care how much you bellyache about it you probably aren't going to get Insomniac back as a exclusive second party developer. Being a fan of a console brand doesn't mean that you cannot be a fan of a third party studio. In this case they are hardly exclusive. All of this smearing and denigrating of the studio is just plain petty. Basically a lot of you are so bitter that you cannot have a studio all to yourselves anymore. That you would rather see it burn down to the ground.
This game isn't a repeat of the Haze fiasco. Which itself wouldn't have been any kind of fiasco. If certain people were not mindlessly bent on hyping that game beyond all proportions. The only thing noteworthy about that title was that it was exclusive to the PS3 at a time when the console was bereft of any noteworthy exclusives, and it was not getting much in the way of great third party support.
I honestly don't think that Insomniac was looking at Fuse being a massive success. There is nothing that says it has to be, and to be honest the game doesn't actually look bad. It looks fairly straight forward, and something being simple isn't a bad thing. There is a market for simple fun shooters, and if you doubt that look at Left 4 Dead. That game wasn't overly complicated, or all that visually stunning.
Some games aren't trying to go the high end route. That is what Haze was trying to be, and as such it ended up killing the company with production costs. It is fundamentally easy to judge high end efforts, but low end efforts. Now that is a entirely different beast. Not only can they be successful with lower sales, but sometimes they just click with the consumer.
Personally I actually planned to pick up the game. It looked to be a nice change of pace. I am starting to get a little tired of over the top shooters right now. I could use some old school charm. With Electronic Arts publishing though I am not too sure. I really don't want to give that publisher any more of my money.

I won't spend much time with this nonsense so here I go
1. I'm not bellyaching because they aren't second party (even though that's yet to be seen) the game looks boring and it's the general consensus everywhere I look.
2. Insomniac PAX time slot is titled: “Fuse: The Sleeper Hit of 2013” they are looking for it to be a big hit
3. It's not straight forward. Everything I read (even from Insomniac themselves) this game is too difficult because they AI isn't smart enough and the game relies heavily on co-op communication
4. This probably has a bigger budget than Haze lol
