It should still indicate that there is a healthy level of hype though. The fan have been helping with that. 8.1 million views is good. Does it state wether they were live views? People re watchig the controller reveal or the several game reveal/trailers that were there is probably fairly common too.

I think it was over 3 million watched Sonys live stream and GT broke records with how many people watched their live stream... I think it was over 300k... I don't know where 8 million comes from but I doubt they were stream lived. Probably just watched the following days by people who missed it or were directed to it by the people who watched it live. I know my friend watched it the next day and said he was having a difficult time do to the lag (that I assume was from high traffic still)
