1. Red Faction Armageddon. Why? The destruction gameplay was truly next-gen and something sorely missed from every other game

Red Faction Guerilla had the same destruction mechanics and came before Armageddon in the series. Although the mechanic was pretty cool it hasn't redefined anything. In terms of mechanics, the most revolutionary for me is the dialogue wheel from Mass Effect. I'm sure someone will point out it been in a previous generation/game, but its this gen that it really caught on. Same with cover-based shooting.

In terms of games themeselves, my picks would be Dishonored, Mass Effect 2 and Batman: Arkham City. Halo 3 and  Call of Duty 4 for their multiplayer.

Daaaaaaaaaamn, I meant Guerilla. Never played Armageddon - it was meant to be crap.
