There's little reason to preorder games, and certainly no reason to trust "professional" reviews. It's better to wait until the game is out and read a wide range of reviews and info, than the pre-release hype.
The only preorders should be for companies and game series you really truly trust to not lay a landmine. That list for me is very short and consists of Falcom and Gust.
