Kratos doesn't NEED to be done. I admit it would be refreshing to take a new character but SSM can easily write something to make him still be in.

Personally i'd like him as a supporting character in the game, or an end boss :P. Just that he isn't forgotten. He must be known in the universe :>

What needs to go is the Blades. I love them but it's time to say goodbye. 6 games and now is the time for a new thing.

The mythology I would also prefer a new one (Egypt please). I hope they don't stay in Greek because nothing will top GoW3 from a story perspective. Scale wise, sure. But the story in Greek mythos is over once you kill the king of the gods, period.

There is a lot of Greek mythos to be used.  There is a lot of deception and hidden powers.  Also there is a creature born from the union of Gaia and tartarus, Typhon that was so, so powerful that some greek gods escaped like pansys to egypt trololol and there you have the birth of the Egyptian mythology.  Also, He defeated Zeus.    He is the father of the Hydra, cerberus, the nemean lion and also the sphinx.

So yeah, even though they could eventually use egyptian mythos, there is still lot of great stuff to explore in the greek mythology.

And also the blades dont need to go, they just need add different weapons into the game, and revamp the combos of the blades.

God of War without Kratos is like Metal Gear Solid without Snake. Just no.
