Huh? First of all, this game didn't get released on the PSP AT ALL. Tri is exclusive to Nintendo consoles.
PSP got more than just "ultimate editions" of Monster Hunter games, it got full on sequels. THAT is what saved the PSP.

As far as I know the only thing Portable 3rd on PSP didn't have was under water hunting, the really shitty part is they never released it outside of Japan. 3DS will have a full sequel this time with 4 and looking at total Vita sales compared to 3DS right now, I don't really blame Capcom. =/

I don't see how this is relevant. We're not discussing which game is better or the Vita sales.

I'm not talking about which game is better at all, I just feel that it sucks that it's not more multiplatform because I like the game and wish more people can play the series.
