I don't have a PS3, but I do remember a game developed and published by Sony for the PS2 that had horrible frame rate issues.
And if while playing God of War (any game in the franchise so far qualifies) the game hits 60 frames per second once per playthrough despite not being locked at 30 you can consider yourself lucky.
