I think what you got was worth it though. As much as I like LBP2 and Vita, LBP Karting looks stupid, but Playstation Plus is worth it. For a year you'll get PS3, PSP, and Vita games. I'd recommend still activating the PSP and Vita games regardless if you don't have them because you'll lock them onto your account and be able to download them at any time as long as you're on Plus.
LBP2, Infamous 2, Spec Ops the Line. Vanquish, SSF4A, and Darksiders are the notable PS3 games. LBP2 and Infamous 2 won't be taken off for awhile, but the others, make sure to purchase them for free so you don't lose your chance.

| snowdog said: Erm...you don't see the future of the Wii U looking good...so you replace a current gen console with Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter 3G Ultimate, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Wii Fit, Game & Wario, Wind Waker HD, a 3D Mario and Mario Kart 8 all on the way...for a last gen console that's only going to have a few more years support from third parties at best and virtually no first party support after this year is up..? Apologies for being blunt but that's not the most intelligent thing you could have done lol. Are you insane..? |
Your list of Wii U games, while some are coming out in the near future, are full of games that have no release date and will more than likely be released late 2013, 2014, or later.
Assuming the OP had no PS3 prior, all the games that have been released on the PS3 are going to be new, so whether the Wii U picks up or not is a moot point. The OP could stick with the Wii U and purchase the new titles at $60 or wait until they drop in price, or do a little bit of research and find out that there's an amazing catalog of PS3 games that he could purchase. The same could be said if the OP purchased a 360.
With the OPs current purchase though, the OP can pick up many amazing games that have already been out for quite some time and should be able to be found cheap, new or used. Games like Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Mirror's Edge, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Army of Two the 40th Day, Dante's Inferno, Lords of Shadow, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted series, etc. All these are great games that can be found for $20 or less, and there are new titles and exclusives still coming out. Games like Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xillia, The Last of Us, etc.
The choice the OP made was a good one. Instead of having few games he may or may not want to purchase, the OP has a large amount to choose from. When the Wii U drops in price later on and there is larger library of games, then the OP can easily pick one up at that time.
*I just saw the post that the OP stated he sold his PS3 for the Wii U, but still. A large library of games compared to almost nothing right now. The OP can just get another Wii U later. Atleast right now he'll have something to play.
