An unbiased review of Paper Mario for the N64:

The Music also holds up quite well, but that's about it.  Enjoyable catchy romps that were forgotten a few hours after turning off the game.  I like them as long as I listened to them, but I won't be putting any of them into my playlists.

Music: 6.5/10

I agree with the rest of it but

I want to let you know that some of the Paper Mario tracks I have have over 1000 plays. Of course it is subjective, but for some fraction of the audience it is perfect RPG music that lasts forever and is part of my actual identity.

O.o

Oh....sorry.   Well, to each his own.  Which is your favorite track?  The 3 best imo were the Toad Town, the Star Summit and the combat music (although that got kind of old after a while).  Which ones were the tracks that just clicked for you?

Toad Town, Gusty Gulch, Final Bowser, Shiver City stand out as great. The credits medley is the best possible ending and I can listen actively to it any time. And the remixes and callbacks outside of these tracks support the celebration of the Mario series that it is.
