Yeah quite possible but my reasoning was more like how many people bought a system because they wanted to instead of being "forced" to because their old one died. So in this example I think DS is the winner.
I mean if people are happy with their system its their right to buy it twice and that doesnt "manipulate" the sales or something. Whereas buying a system multiple times because the old ones keep breaking somewhat does.
The best way would be if every company would be forced to reveal failure rates. So for every console that died you lose 1 "sale"(manufacturing faults only e.g. crappy laser, cheap solder etc.) would be interesting to see where the PS2 and 360 would be now. But doing this would need some seperate sales chart we cant just remove normal sales lol
